This week nobody identified the song with all the necessary details. That is, two esteemed readers, Ester-Basya Vaisman-Schulman and Yuri Zakon, rightly guessed that the song was “A Yiddishe Mama,” written by Jack Yelen, with music by Lew Pollack - but they failed to recognize the singer. Now we can reveal that the singer is Bibi Marcell, performing with the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band. Here you have the whole song:
